I'm still alive, and some links

Share
Hey everyone.

I know it's been awhile since any of you have heard from me. I've been relying on JH to carry a lot of the weight for the past few months. Truth is, I graduated from law school last month and I'm currently studying for the California Bar Exam. It's quite a bear, one that I wouldn't wish on anyone, but it's almost over. I'll be back once it's done.

In the mean time, I wanted to point out a few links for you to look at.

First, our good friend Sam Miller at the OC Register has an article at Baseball Prospectus. It's about fastball usage by Bartolo Colon and Justin Masterson. I'm glad that a sabermetrics-friendly reporter like Sam is getting some BP love. Check it out here.

Second, Chris Jaffe over at The Hardball Times has written a great article about incoming Hall-of-Famer Bert Blyleven. Though he's likely going into Cooperstown as a Twinkie, Bert spent his final years with the Halos and is an Orange County native. Check it out here.

That's all I've got for now. Wish me luck on the bar. I'll be wishing for Alexi Ogando and Matt Harrison to finally experience some regression.

I can't say that I did a particularly stunning job carrying the weight.
